We want to make you aware that we typically see an increase in burglaries during this time of the year. Our officers are monitoring the situation closely and increasing patrols across the area. While we continue this work, we encourage all residents to remain vigilant and take practical steps to keep their homes secure.

How to Keep Your Home Secure

Lock doors and windows: Even when you are at home or stepping out briefly.

Use timers for lights: This helps create the appearance that someone is home.

Keep valuables out of sight: Avoid leaving items such as laptops, keys, and handbags visible from windows.

Secure sheds and garages: Tools and equipment can be used to gain entry, so ensure they are locked away.

Report suspicious activity: If something seems unusual or concerning, please contact us.

Look out for neighbours: Especially those who may be more vulnerable or live alone.

If you see anything suspicious or have information that may assist us, please contact the police via 101. In an emergency or if a crime is in progress, always call 999.
